Blitt and Gaines, P.C. was proud to be an event co-sponsor.
Buckles and Buckles Christmas Drive
Blitt and Gaines employees happily donated over 12 enormous boxes of clothing, food, and toys in order to help a law firm in Michigan, Buckles and Buckles, help the poor in the Detroit Metro Area. On Christmas morning, they travel with friends and family with donations received from firms from around the country stuffed into trucks and drive down the streets of Detroit, visiting senior centers, known low income hotels to give warm winter clothes directly to the people who need it. They go to parks where homeless are known to shelter and do the same. They make their way to areas of substandard or government assisted residences and provide coats and clothing. They also drop off holiday meals. And when the food runs out, they go out and get more from local businesses and food banks. They do not stop until all the food and clothing has been distributed. We are proud to support their effort!
Toys for Tots 2015
Blitt and Gaines raised over $400.00 in cash donations and another $200.00 in donated toys, which was a record contribution! We made sure to help purchase toys for boys ages 10+, and donated additional Star Wars, Marvel Superheroes, Ninja Turtles, Legos, and Minecraft toys.

Tornado Disaster Relief
On November 17, 2013 there was a massive tornado outbreak in the Midwest that left our neighboring towns in a state of disaster. From Diamond and Coal City Illinois to Washington Illinois (a suburb of Peoria), people had their homes and belongings swept away. Blitt and Gaines joined efforts with AdvaCare Systems of Chicago, Sunset Foods of Northbrook, and Freedman, Anselmo, & Lindberg of Naperville to collect donations of clothes, food, water, stuffed animals, and toiletries for those impacted by this natural disaster. Our donations filled an entire box truck! The donation centers were surprised and happy to see the generosity that resulted from our collaborated donation efforts. Thank you again to everyone that supported this effort! Your donations and assistance are truly appreciated.
Toys for Tots
This year’s Toys for Tots donation in terms of both toys and money to be sent on Toys was our most successful. We purchased toys and brought them to Nate Starzec’s (Mike’s Son) Cub Scout Pack Holiday party where the US Marines had sent three Marines to meet with the kids and collect toys from the Scouts. The Scouts donations filled up one box: our donations alone filled up three!
After the event, the Marines sought Mike out and expressed how deeply gratified they were with our generosity. They had not expected anywhere near that sum of toys and it was much needed as donations had been down significantly nation-wide. Thanks so much for all you do to help us help the community.
